The pearl of Normandy

This breath-taking property, 25 minutes from Deauville has been the property of a distinguished British family for several generations and the host of world famous guests over the years, many of whom have left personal mementos which can be seen around the house. Staffed with one or two butlers as required and a full staff, the property, extending over 160 hectares boasts a polo grounds and a nine hole golf course. The property is set in beautiful countryside, in a region known for its apple trees and the excellent Calvados they produce, and that of the estate is particularly renowned.

You enter a timeless masterpiece when setting foot in to this domain. It is hard to tell where the house's history actually begins (as the house is much older than the furnishings) but you can feel this history ever present, and teh home exquisitely cared for and preserved throughout. The gardens are meticulously groomed, the service of the highest order, and the furnishing all reminiscent of the finery of another era. There is no swimming pool, unfortunately, but there are horses on the property, golf, croquet, and the possibility of a short trip to the beach, to the Casino in Deauville and to the races. All rooms have en suite bathrooms and all have the facility for calling an attendant at any time.
