Villa Conte Lucca, Italy
The Count's retreat
Villa Conte was once the haven and wild boar hunting retreat of a Count of Lucca. Though many features of the property pre-date the 1700’s, the villa has been restored to its former glory. It is an elegant and exclusive Tuscan retreat immersed in a splendid parkland of ornamental ponds and antique fountains, time-forgotten courtyards and lemon scented Italian gardens.
Villa Conte is air-conditioned throughout and has unique and unforgettable views across Italian gardens, olive groves and picturesque hills. There are numerous reception rooms which include a wine library with a private collection of Tuscan wines, card and billiard room, sun lounge, and domed music room with log fireplace. There is a grand dining room, drawing room/TV lounge and a warm and welcoming fully equipped Tuscan kitchen - the heart of the home. Outdoors, the estate offers a large floodlit salt-water swimming pool, mountain biking, al fresco dining in a genuine Italian piazza or beside age-old fountains, and ornamental ponds.
