Marrakech Morocco
A destination that is very much on the map at the moment and deservedly so. You can choose to experience it in the Medina (old town) or in the neighbouring Palmeraie. Each lends itself to a different experience, so make sure you ask us for advice.
Marrakech is a superb destination for a vibrant and exciting holiday of sights, smells, and sounds. The central square throbs in the evenings with the chaotic mixture of street performers, shoppers, food stalls, clamour and raw life. Surrounding the city are the ancient Medina walls which enclose some of the country's finest palaces, mosques and museums.
Just an hour's drive south-east and you're surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas and arguably North Africa 's best trekking network. Continue east over the mountains and the land becomes parched as you approach the great sand sea of the Sahara - best explored by camel or 4x4 safari. Head west and you soon reach the laid-back fishing port of Essaouira, a popular sea-side destination. Choose from the Palmeraie with its superb villas or the old town with its infamous riyads. The nightlife is exciting to say the least, but one must be able to feel comfortable also with the day-to-day hussle and bustle which can some times be over-whelming.
